Plenty of area in a short space allows it to paddle like a longboard but keep the speed and manoeuvrability of a shortboard. The increased area with flatter bottom curve and more parallel outline creates a clean wake with virtually no drag. Wide-based keel fins are set right back and close to the rails and have little toe-in or splay. Planing speed and trim are instant.
