Besides being one of the nicest dudes you’ll meet, this wave assassin runs a tool rental business with his bro in his hometown of Ballito. He is also the owner of a radical repertoire in the waves, some sick bonsais, a newborn baby, and a limitless supply of stoke.

BEST SURFER IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW?
That’s tough, because in my opinion surfing has different disciplines now – like skating and snowboarding. Jordy Smith is the best all-rounder currently. Chippa Wilson is the most tech. Twiggy is the best big wave surfer right now. And what about 2 John? He has to fit in there somewhere. Tough question!

Well, I crossed Namibia off my bucket list, so probably any of the waves in Tahiti!
