Help Find Ross Lindsay’s Missing Board

Cape Town’s Ross Lindsay is looking for any help with tracking down his surfboard after it went missing from the back of his bakkie between Constantia Village and Capricorn Park last Wednesday, 2 September.

“There may be a light at the end of the tunnel,” said Ross after discovering some helpful information earlier today. “A lady named Helen, saw a 60 year-old coloured male (builder/tradesman) put a blue board bag into this bakkie (as pictured below) and drive off from the exact area that I had just passed through. She thought he did not look like a surfer and took a photo. Later she saw my post on Facebook that led her to me. It was at the traffic light of Ladies Mile and the M3. This was taken at 15:24pm, the time I was driving past.

The board itself is a Fishstix 6’6 x 19.75 x 2.75 round tail and reads ‘For Ross’ on the stringer. It’s got a Dakine deck pad and Nixon and Vans stickers on it. The nose is yellow with red tail colours on the top and bottom decks, with Scarfini Manta fins and a Dakine leash.

If anyone has any information that could help recover the missing board, there is a reward on offer so please contact Ross directly on 082 458 3224.
