After six months of preparation and a few weeks in Morocco, setting up and waiting for the right weather window, Chris Bertish has paddled his modified SUP, the ImpiFish, out into the Atlantic, with the intention of making landfall on the other side of the pond, in about 3 months or so. The absolute nutter South African big wave surfer, waterman, multiple world record holder, adventurer, motivational speaker and all round inspirational dude is aiming to be the first human to cross the Atlantic on a SUP unassisted, and in so doing raise a huge pile of cash for a bunch of very worthy causes and basically redefining what’s possible. Totally nuts, but anyone who has the devotion dedication you’ve got get behind.
