CLUTCH Fuelled by Monster Energy, presented by VANS is an online campaign celebrating progressive, high-performance surfing.
Criteria is open gates, (as in, anything goes) whatever makes the audience stand up and salute! It could be a boost, a tube, a MONSTER COMBO, or one MIND-BENDING turn. It can be anything from one insane hack to a perfectly surfed wave.
It’s been a late winter of cranking surf, so we know you’re all sitting on dynamite clips. Time to cash in.

To reward the Local Heroes, there’s a whole division to celebrate and reward high-quality progressive surfing from the weekend warriors.
So if you’re sitting on a clip, send it in and win! And if you don’t have anything yet then get stacking!
There are also mad prizes to reward the videographers, both for the Round Winners and the Local Hero divisions.
THE JUDGES ARE REVVING TO GO!!
Entries must show a single ride. The criteria is simple, the most mind-blowing surfing on quality waves is what we’re after. Whether it’s a massive punt, a heavy tube or six turns on a J-Bay wall, every wave is a valid entry just make sure you give it horns and deliver a pinnacle moment.
Each month, our judging panel will choose a WINNER and a LOCAL HERO. The WINNER of each round of entries will be considered for the GRAND PRIZE!
Surfers must email their entries in video format via WeTransfer to online@zigzag.co.za for us to upload to the website. Entries will be posted during the round they are received. Any queries please contact online@zigzag.co.za
